Some about the Model Air Club of Thun - Switzerland:
Switzerland is a very small alpine country in the heart of Europe. Thun is a Town of about 40 000 Inhabitants and is situated on the low end of the Lake of Thun. We are directly at the rim of the alps and therfore Thun is also named the Door to the Alps. We - the Model Air Club of Thun are a club of about one hundred members and our Flying Field is on an Army Training Center giving us only restricted acess during weekdays.

IPC Spring 2007 Report:

We did the flying for the Spring contest on the beautyful sunday morning April 1. - no joke! After a heavy snow downpour the night from friday to saturday we where in doubt for the sunday but the weathergod must be a modeler an we had real good weather as you can see on the photos we toke before the snow covered mountains of the swiss alps. 12 Pilots began flying at about 1100 and we already found a lot of small lift patches wich gave us real good Flight Times. Two pilots suffered from radio malfunction and could therefore not fly or finish the flying but a last we gained some Timers and could speed up the Flying. At around 1400 we finished the 5 five rounds of flying, we packed up the winch and got back to the Clubhouse and had a cool Beer together - nice day!
